      The new meat probe with high temp cable will replace the current meat probe for more durability (36 inches in length). This is for all current smoker models with a 2 pin twist lock connector. If you have an older smoker with a RCA style connector, you will need to order the PV429 also available online or feel free to contact tech support at 800-423-0698 with any questions.

      ***Meat probe is not compatible with SM009-2, Charbroilers, Pellet Grills, Pizza Oven or Rotisserie smokers.

      Bought this to replace original probe that came with my 025 model that was used for years. It works great again since original quit. Now for putting probe sub merged in water this one has been and it reads just fine! No problem and it has been checked by another thermo temp

      The cookshack probe is accurate and is high quality but DONT submerge the probe end in water or it will either read “high” on the smoker display or display an inaccurate temperature. Also, purchase 2 at a time Justin case.

      Bought this for a FEC100 (purchased from another vendor) due to payment terms. Several thing stand out to me. Probe seems to be high quality. I havent used it yet, so no comments on accuracy at this time. As for the FEC100, it is a beast. I did a pork rib roast in in for the inaugural cook , outstanding! Now my issues: 1. A $6000 smoker did not include the probe (unsat). 2. the probe wire routes via the font door. (also unsat) Recommendations to cookshack would be to find a way to include the probe and to work with paypal/affirm or others for finance options for customers. This is my 3rd cookshack product 1- Sm045 supersmoker roughly 20years ago 2-Fast Eddy PG 500 roughly 15 years ago 3- FEC100 recent Would reccomend any of the smokers, the pg500 cooked well but could be difficult to operate due to the controller.
