bought during 2020 when I couldnt go out for good BBQ. Have had to replace the ignitor once, but otherwise zero maintenance and turning out excellent quality Q. I see why a lot of the competition guys are going this direction. Highly recommend purchasing a diesel truck 90 elbow to put on the smoke exhaust, it cuts down on temp swings during windy conditions.

I am happy to correct a prior review that my FEC100 was all over the place with temperature fluctuations and cookshack sent me a update for the controller ,boy what a difference ,It now stays within about 5 degrees up and 5 down .I am very pleased to write this correction.

I bought my FEC 100 in 2008 it has been amazing ribs, brisket, turkey, butt's. You name it and I have cooked it on it ! Never had a single problem with it. Old Oklahoma boy.

I bought one of these 14 years ago. It still works perfectly. I’ve never needed to replace a single thing after hundreds of uses. It’s extremely consistent, every time there are no surprises. Easy to hone your process with that type of consistency. Last I looked, if I were to resell it (which I’m not doing), it could sell for double what I paid for it. This is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made.

Been smoking with the FEC 100 for 15 years in a residential setting in Canada. Haven’t replaced a single item, or ever even a minor malfunction. Still amazing racks of food coming out almost every weekend throughout the summers. 👊
