    I bought one of these cookers ten years ago to supplement my Big Green Egg. What I love about this cooker is that it is so easy to use and the results are amazing. People think I’m the greatest cook ever, yet all the credit is due to this smoker. You can use the probe to cook until the meat is the desired internal temperature you want, then it will lower the temperature and hold it until you’re ready to take it off. This model will hold six Boston Butts. The turkeys I smoke during the holidays are so flavorful and juicy and easy to cook. You can also set the Cookshack to however many degrees you want and it will hold the temperature for as long as you want for things like ribs or fish. If anything ever happens to my Cookshack, I’m buying another! Five stars for sure!

    My Amerique provides the entire neighborhood with an appetite! I can easily smoke six pork butts or two large turkeys to perfection. I have a wild cherry thicket that provides me with a continuous supply of fruit wood or can mix with mesquite or oak for variety. I have only had to replace the thermostat in the twelve years I've owned it. It is, quite truly, built like a "brick outhouse" by a dedicated group of craftsmen. I visited the factory and was totally impressed with the workmanship and love that goes into each unit.

    I purchased an SM066, AmeriQue Smoker a few years ago. The quality was great and the customer service is second to none. I would recommend that Cookshack consider a higher power heater in the future to allow the peak temperature to go a bit higher. It is so convenient to be able to use the meat probe and allow the cooking process to continue without having to repeatedely open the door to monitor the cooking. Great Smoker!

    How is it possible that no one has left a review for this amazing smoker yet?! 6 years ago, my wife decided she wanted a smoker. I did my homework and quickly became familiar with this all-American smoker. It sounded too good to be true, but the price suggested it would not disappoint. While some traditionalist smoker snobs may look down their noses on those who use electric smokers, the only thing I care about is the finished product. The bible says, "by their fruits shall ye know them". Six years later, this thing continues to crank out incredible fruit (if you're picking up what I'm laying down)! Prep your meat, throw it and some wood chunks in the smoker, set the smoker to cook for a time certain or until it reaches a certain internal temperature, hit start and forget about it. I almost always use the probe to reach an internal temp because the smoker kicks over to warm after it reaches temp. When it's time to eat, I fetch the perfectly smoked brisket (or whatever else) from the smoker, carve it up and then lap up all the praise my dinner guests heap on me for my smoking prowess! If you've got the budget for this smoker and you're a lazy uncompromising chef like me, the Cookshack Amerique won't disappoint! Pro tip: don't use the power washer to spray this thing down when it gets dusty. Water will get in the control module and you'll have to remove it and dry it out with a heat gun before it will work properly again.
