Tandoori Style Smoked Chicken


6 chicken halves back bone removed
1 ½ tbsp. salt
4 cloves garlic minced
1 lemon (juiced)
1 cup plain yogurt
2 tbsp. Madras curry powder
2 oz. apple


In a bowl, mix the salt, garlic and juice from lemon. Rub this mixture all over the chicken pieces well.
In another bowl, mix the yogurt and curry powder well. Coat each piece of chicken well. Refrigerate overnight.
Preheat the smoker to 250°F. Place the chicken on the rack. Smoke-cook for 2 hours to an internal temp of 170°F.
