Got this as a gift... Lucky me! So simple to use. Does not use much wood. Love the rib rack and the probe. Good looking to boot! Neighbors are looking over the fence.

Had my cooker about three or four years now, I use it a lot it holds up to heavy use and has been reliable no issues. I am asked to smoke for parties quite a bit and I love to oblige. I love my smoker and will soon be looking to trade up to the Amerique as imam out growing my super smoker.

I have been using Smokeshack cookers at my home for more than 15 years, beginning with the starter model and graduating to the current model SMo45 a few yars ago. I have given the starter model as a wedding gift on more than one occasion. For me the best thing about them is the "set it and forget it" feature. Previously I had used a variety of "hands-on" smokers which required constant attention. I like to play golf while my food is smoking. Or, for a brisket or other cut which might require 10-20 hours of smoking, I can get it started at night and sleep while it cooks. The design is well thought out, and the results are wonderful. I use wood chunks and have never tried pellets. The units are extremely well built, and I have never had an issue with any of them. They seemingly last forever. I live in Minnesota and can cook in the winter when I feel like it. The only negative: I have watched the prices creep up over the years, and they are now nearly double what they were when I started with the company..

Great all-weather product. I get better, more consistent results than I ever got with my old bullet smoker, and with 1/10 the effort. "Set and forget" means just what it says.
Delighted Brand New Owner of the SM045

Got the SM045 as a gift about 2 months ago and I can't tell you how happy I am with this smoker. I received this as a gift from my Uncle and until now I had never heard of the CookShack, but I can guarantee you now that everyone I see is going to hear about it. I have already run through about a dozen racks of ribs, half a dozen whole chickens, 3-4 dozen chicken wings and a couple of pork butts. My family and friends are now texting and calling to see when I'm putting something on the smoker! I really enjoy the efficiency and ease of it. My wife and I have a 19 month old son and a 7 month old daughter so not having to tend to a wood pit and using that time to spend with my family is worth more than any dollar amount. Then I get to pull out some wonderful smoked meats to share with them and that is wonderful. Would highly recommend this smoker to anyone!

Was introduced to Cookshack by family in Tx. Read one review about not maintaining temp. when 45' outside so we went with the SM045 for the larger heating element. This unit has been awesome! Just did two chickens with outside temp at 15-18' and windy. Set temp at 275 and while the smoker did max out at 251' they were done in about 4 hours and done to perfection. Also did a 15lb brisket for Christmas when outdoor temps were 18' at 10:00pm. Brisket cooked overnight and was ready by 7:30am, wrapped in foil, held in oven til noon and it was perfect. Not only is the smoker great, there's a ton of fantastic information from a great bunch of experienced "smokers" so guys like me don't have to learn the hard way. Thanks for a great product that works great year round even in windy old Wyoming.
They are happy to take your money with out telling you they are out of stock.

My gripe is not with the unit but the deceptive sales practice. Upon placing order I was informed it was back ordered after I paid for it. Very misleading and dishonest sales technique. Make sure you call to see if the have any in stock. My business will be going else where after this incident. I do own 2 of these and was getting a third for my other property. They are excellent units and worth the money.
The Cookshack SM045 is the perfect smoker!!

I've had the SM045 for a couple of years now. I started out with an off-set barrel smoker, a pain to keep fed. Then went to a Bradley but, the temp would fluctuate 20 degrees in both directions. Made the switch to the Cookshack and will NEVER look back! I've done everything from ribs, Boston butt, wings to smoking a porkbelly (yesterday)!

Had my 045 about four years. Great smoker, can set it up and forget it. It is automatic and you can get and uses very little wood. I have purchased almost all items for the smoker.
